You lift me up

We were changing out one of our crane wires today, we have three cranes each with three wires. These wires have to be changed out every two years. We were in a shipyard two years ago and they were all changed there but it's amazing how quickly time comes around again.

The little orange thing on the top of the crane is a wind direction indicator which the helicopters use when coming in on approach to the rig. Helps them know what heading to come in on.

The boom on this crane is 120' long and it has two lifting blocks, one of around 8 tons capacity and the other of around 50t. With out these things we wouldn't last very long lol.
