Painter man

Two of our paint crew marking out new walkways today after the deck has been water blasted and recoated. It'll end up looking like the black area that cuts off suddenly coated with non-skid paint and bordered with yellow lines.

This is a never ending job really for these guys and we usually have a paint crew (maybe 4 or 5 guys) working 12 hour shifts a day 365 days a year.

A bit like the Forth road bridge to be honest, just a never ending cycle of painting. It's a must though because corrosion doesn't take long to start up again in the salt water environment.

This is an easy area for these guys just now out on deck in the open. Gets a bit more tricky and confined inside the rig but we usually save those for the rainy seasons.
