My Favorite Tree

I love this tree. I pass it most days on my way into town. I have planned to take a photo of it for years but it is nearly impossible to stop nearby on the road. I would have to park and walk back around loads of bends. Just beyond it in the other direction, on a sharp bend, there is a stunning old stone bridge. The road twists up to it and there is really only room for one line of traffic. Today all the traffic was stuck behind a giant truck, ambling it's way over the bridge so I whipped out the i phone/camera and was delighted to finally get a photo! I love the hand painted black and yellow hazard sign.
The tree is a beautiful beech tree, its so big that the roots are pushing up the wall which is a shame. A few years ago its lower branches kept their orangy, dead leaves through the winter and it was prettier . I'm not sure why that doesn't happen any more. It is at it's best in the spring as the leaves are a lovely lime green colour. If I'm lucky I'll get to blip it gain then.
