Today's Rose Bud

I've spent this day doing various things, but mostly I've graded a few more papers so that I can return them to my students next week. We did take a quick trip late afternoon to mail a birthday card to our son-in-law so he will get it tomorrow for his St. Patrick's Day birthday. I think it is always fun to receive mail on a birthday.

The weather reporters have for the past several days been forecasting that we're going to experience a major rainstorm this weekend. Today has looked like "morning" all day with a gray sky; the sun broke through only in the end of the day. As the sun went down, the sky looked more "storm-like" and the prediction is that tomorrow we'll have rain and all day Sunday. So here's hoping -- because we sure could use the moisture.
