Nets ON!

This is the Rippon Vineyard which is a 20 minute walk from where I live. The Boss and I have been back here a lot as it offers some nice blipping. Prior to harvest the Vineyard cover the grapes with bird netting and underneath you can see things coming along well so it will be harvest time pretty soon. The netting comes in white and black and in huge rolls which are handled by a special tractor which carries the roll between the rows and allows it to slowly unwind. Things go in reverse at harvest time. This vineyard is known for it's environmental approach to the industry. There is a path off the lakefront walking track that goes to the wine tasting and shop and a number of artworks are scattered about the vineyard where public access is encouraged. The island is Ruby Island and in a couple of weeks it will be a blasé of gold. Hope it colours up slowly so I will be back in time. OH The Boss says that he is just getting a large sign for this that says
