2014 more running needed

The wrong shoes?

Good news and bad from the doctor yesterday.
The bad is my road to recovery is going to be long, but the good is my Docttor is brilliant.
Apparently it's important I have something to achieve each day.

Exercise is recommended for mental illness so getting plenty of exercise is hhigh on his agenda but I haven't to overdo it. So The london Marathon isn't going to be happening this year.

BUT: I do have exciting news to share with you on Monday. Been asked to keep it under wraps until then.

I got invited to go for a run with a friend today. He sorted the route and the pace was slow and enjoyable along the canal. As you can see it was a little muddy!
But I love mud. the muddier it is the more I love it. Sliding towards the canal was "interesting" and hilarious!
The original plan was to do 18 miles. Richard carried on to do the 18. I cut it short but still did 15 miles. And much like last Sunday, I enjoyed what I did.
Other possible blips for today were of a boat passing under a bridge with a nice reflection in the water, and a beautiful swan, which also had a nice reflection.
But the shoes win. they were definitely the wrong shoes for the terrain, but they made tthe run more enjoyable.
Have a good weekend.
