Diesel's conker

Mixed weather with several heavy showers. It's not been a good blipping day so decided to show you Diesel's conker. Visitors are always curious about why a conker should be hanging from the doorknob on the inside of the living room. When the boy Diesel comes into the house it's always in the evening. Often he doesn't stay long but occasionally he disappears under the settee near the radiator and falls fast asleep. It's easy to forget all about him and go to bed closing the door. A long time ago this happened and the carpet was pulled up as he tried to scratch his way out at about 2am. Brainwave, hang the conker from the knob so he can use it as a signal, referred to as 'Diesel rattling his conker'! It happened a couple of night's ago and he was duly let out to enjoy the night.
A second night at The Dog & Gun tonight. I thought it was a St. Patrick's evening but it appears there is to be a Thai buffet prepared by a Thai chef, not much of a connection there!
Apart from the rain the weekend is going well. I'm off to a daughter's tomorrow so there will be a lapse in blips as I am then travelling on to Lincolnshire to see my brother. Hope to 'Back blip' when I can.
Happy St. Patrick's day everyone.
