Welsh cakes

Today's the day ................................. for the lull after the storm

I didn't manage a blip yesterday - mainly because I didn't take any pictures - but if I just give you a few words that sum up my day, you might understand a little more. So how about - emails, accreditation, difficult meetings, broken computer, circular saw, finger, hospital, rain, M6, more hospital, midnight?

Today however, all is peaceful - or at least as peaceful as it can be when there are Six Nations Rugby matches to watch and one of them is Wales v France to decide who will get the Grand Slam and the Championship.

And when there are important rugby matches involving Wales to watch, I always have to make these to eat at half time. The recipe is on a postcard sent to me by my Welsh mother-in-law back in 1974 - and it's been in use ever since. If you want to see what they look like, here's some I prepared earlier.

PS In case you don't live in the real world - Wales WON .........................!

Sorry Marc and Marie Claire - it just had to be!
