Jumble sale

Will you take me home?
Previously loved toys, or, rather discarded toys fill the Toy Stall at the village jumble sale this afternoon. A long queue outside, and a cheer goes up when the doors open!
A hundred adults and children pay their entrance fee and rush in. They go for the clothes first, then the bric a brac, and eventually the children are brought over to the toys. They ask the price, pull out the change from their pocket money purses, hand it over and carry their purchases triumphantly away. Things are so cheap, they can buy more than one toy for a pound.
All the stalls are buzzing, people are carting things back to their cars, while a few stop for a cup of tea. Those of us behind the stalls are busy.
Just over half an hour later, the toys are almost all gone. These little dogs found a new home, for a while at least!
