The focus here was not on the photography' the focus was on the computing.

Having decided that 40 minutes waiting for the PC to boot was more than any human being could (or should) bear, I've decided to bite the bullet. Time for a new machine. What to do though; stick with the all too familiar PC based system or try and get my head round a mac? So we went into town to have a look. Arrived to find the daughter waiting for us. Had no idea and a nice surprise.

After coffee we all headed to the apple store to see what the man could tell us. am in love with the idea of the thunderbolt monitor and a new laptop. It maybe doesn't do any more than the 32GB ram (overkill I know, but what a beast!) PC we looked at, but OMG the thought of not having a hulking great tower on the desktop is appealing.

Off course they say that you can't teach an old old new tricks and this is an old dog. I haven't really used apple computers since we bought our first HP machine in 1984. So far so good though. A couple of minor glitches but nothing as soul destroying as yet another windows update the inevitable blue screen that I've been getting of late.

Decisions will have to be made.
