Meet Grenville Millington
Grenville is a bit of a legend around the Exacta Stadium. He made his debut in goal for Chester as a 17 year old in 1969. He went on to play 290 games for the club. He played in every game during the 1974-75 championship winning side. Setting the record number of consecutive clean sheets along the way. That same season they reached the semi-finals of the League Cup. Many members of that team were guests of the club today.
Grenville, what a great name, also has the honour of being the first ever inductee into the club's Hall of Fame, was voted the club's BBC Cult Hero and is the president of the Supporter's Trust. He is also a thoroughly decent chap.
We were 3-0 up at half time and after a very nervous second half we ran out 3-2 winners. Another step nearer winning the league. With nine games left we are eight points clear of our nearest rival and we have opened up a big gap between ourselves and the other seven teams that could mathematically still win the league.
