The 44th Thriplow Daffodil Festival Weekend
We met up with a friend who lives in this village for a walk around the stalls and to watch the various demonstrations that were going on. The festival raises funds for charities every year.
There were Morris Dancers and a sheepdog demonstration. The sheepdog was herding Indian Running ducks. (Not Kidding!) and was fantastic.
There were steam engines steaming and dray horses taking people for rides on carts.
There was a lot to see. It was freezing cold but thankfully the village hall was open for tea and cakes and it was warm and packed with folks seeking shelter.
There was a display of vintage cars and this ambulance was one of them. It was 'manned' by a shop-front mannequin dressed in camouflage gear. The model was exceedingly tall and was sporting a 'Poirot' moustache and a medium length black curly wig under its helmet. It also had the scariest eyes ever. It was pure class.
