Notes from a bald-eagle

Buzzard

There are a lot of buzzards (relatively speaking) around the countryside now. A few years ago you would be hard pushed to see one, but now they are quite common. One even appeared in a friends garden. I've watched them sit on fence posts at the side of main roads, wondering what they could be waiting for, until one day I saw one drop suddenly into the grass verge and come up with a vole. Most of the time though, they are like vultures, just waiting for something to die!
