Snowy Cherry Tree
In place of snow for the last day of winter, my Weeping Cherry trees are in bloom! Their snowy-white blossoms are such a bright treat that only last a week or two at best. We always seem to get heavy winds to blow away the delicate petals before they are ready to coat the ground. When they blow off the branches, however, it looks like white butterflies flitting around. I have a picture of Hannah when she was about 3 or 4 standing under the tree in her flowery Easter dress, clutching a tiny white purse, & wearing a white sweater shawl. l I always remember that image when my Cherry trees bloom.
