mom's jacket

I took only five photographs today, all of them of the fabric of my mother's jacket. The process used to create this fabric is the same one I use to make my art. I don't often take advantage of the texture possibilities however, so I took the photos to remind me to experiment with that when I got back to the studio.

Then the Mister and I got in the car and drove.

Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh, Madison,

Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Absolutely Nothing, Kansas City.

I'm not sure why, but that ten hours took ten years.
It's good to be home.
