Happy Birthday Jacob

Our son is 5 today. His presents were a balloon, a rain catcher, some solar lights and some flowers. Not presents for a little boy, yet what can you buy for a little boy who plays in the clouds. It's hard to reconcile. It's hard to accept, it's still; 5 years on, almost impossible to believe it happened to us.

He is a beautiful, perfect wee soul who graced our lives for too brief a moment and we miss him dreadfully.

A little star for God's collection
A little boy, absolute perfection
A life on earth not meant to be
No tears or smiles for all to see
No playing with your baby toys
Or growing up with other boys
Our hearts are broken, split in two
But Jacob we will remember you
