Wings Up!

Husband and I drove his mom to the doctor today and afterward, we went to the other side of the bay to see the waterfowl.

We stopped by a hamburger joint and enjoyed a luscious burger before going over to the lake. We had fun chatting with Husband's mom, then drove over to the boat launch.

Stopping at the bay, it was amazing seeing all the Swans, Canada Geese, and Mallard Ducks. The birds were everywhere and I felt terrible because I am all out of cracked corn!

The birds didn't seem to mind I was empty-handed, as there was corn scattered all over the area. I think there were some full bellies! What was cool was the fact that the birds came to me as though they were waiting for me!

I took many photos....some really close to Canada Geese, and some neat ones of Swans preening. The day was warm and sunny and it could not have been better. The Swan above raised its wings and stretched them out....not sure what this body language was saying, but it made for a cool capture.....he looks like he's conducting an orchestra!
