We're going on a curtain hunt.. in the snow

Finally heard back from curtain shop and headed off to Newbury to try and replace the faulty curtains we bought yesterday. It started snowing heavily as we set off and the M4 was interesting in the middle of the snowstorm.

When we got the shop, water was running down the inside of the front wall of the building into the shop. Staff were doing their best with towels and mops but the snow and sleet outside was filling the drains quickly. The till area was turning in to a lake. I was worried that they would close the shop before we'd had time to look round and pick up our replacements. Luckily, curtains were exchanged, matching cushions found and we headed back home in more snow.

I've now got to adjust each set of curtains - shorten one, lengthen another and undo and remake two sets to make a curtain wide enough for the bay window. Such fun.
