"High Pressure Still In Charge"

"High pressure is still in charge today" says the Met Office.

Photographically speaking that means that all the usual Spring sights are enjoying most unusual natural lighting, including this beautiful old tree in what used to be the grounds of Scalby Hall, near Scarborough.

The building is described by an Estate Agent as "an elegant building of classic design occupying a prominent commanding position in the heart of this sought after village".

All of which is true, but today it was the tree that caught my eye.
