Ashton Memorial

After lunch in Lancaster with my family (well, most of them - 4/5 children, 5/8 grandchildren + 3 partners) I went to Williamson Park to play with my new camera for the first time. I spent a couple of hours experimenting with various twiddly bits, including the in camera HDR, which gave some interesting effects and some problems. More study needed!

I worked in Lancaster from 1987 - 1993, during which time the Park was restored and opened as a visitor attraction. It has since been further improved and extended, to good effect I think. Back in the day, I used to throughly enjoy the promenade theatre performances by the Dukes Playhouse, which every Summer made great use of the Park and the Memorial. Two of my daughters appeared in several productions as "extras."

A few more from today in the Park can be seen here.
