Summer's Come Early
Well, if you believe the Portsmouth News today, Summer has indeed come early. However, if you scroll down the article and read Comment 1, Summer cannot come early unless the earths orbit has suddenly changed. He quite rightly defines Summer as the months of June, July and August.
Anyway, not to be offended by this character, we did take advantage of the warm Spring Weather and headed down to Victoria Park. I fancied a wander so I took Megan in the pram, whilst Emma chauffeured Oliver (who said he wanted a day in today as he was tired!), and her mum who is down for the weekend. That probably not a bad thing that Emma brought the car in as her mum did struggle a bit with the heat. After a lie down after we came back, she is feeling a bit better - nothing a good nights sleep wont cure.
Anyway, back to the park, Megan was feeling quite pleased with herself, having taken her hat off yet again. Nothing unusual for a child of her age, but a nuisance when you are trying to protect her from the sun. She enjoyed chasing Oliver's football round the park on her knees. She has taken a few steps quite a few times now, and it wont be long before she is toddling round causing chaos wherever she goes. I must warn Granny and Granddad as we are heading up their way in a few weeks time... Should be interesting when their four grandchildren get together! Three boys of varying ages, and a 14 month old girl!
Hope everyone is having a good weekend, wherever you are!
