The Yomper

Every Day, rain, hail or shine, this bloke has stood guard over Eastney Esplanade since July 1992 when he was unveiled by the former Prime Minister, Baroness Thatcher. This statue was erected in memory of the Royal Marines, and all those who served beside them in the Falklands War. As the 30th Anniversary approaches this year, it seemed apt to go and have a look and add this to my blip collection.

Today was another lovely day - slightly cooler than yesterday, but still well worth getting out. I'm not sure Megan agreed with me. Maybe she didn't agree with me stopping to take photographs; then again, she didn't agree with a lot today - nothing a good nights sleep wont sort out.
