Swimming Saturday

This picture makes me laugh - Charley's expression doesn't half remind me of Claudia :D

Swimming today! The boys had me up early, both full of beans, and Steve was cream crackered after not sleeping well, so had an extra hour in bed. I don't recall much of the night but I do remember Charley feeding more frequently than he has been.

The four-month-old growth spurt? I seem to remember it being one of the killer growth spurts. Evidently things are ratching up... We sorted out the cotbed this afternoon in the hope that we'd have a little more space, but Ben has now decided he wants the cot. He still fits, and it means everyone has more space - I'm just making sure Charley's gonna be alright! Might have to move Ben when we go up :)

Swimming was great again. Ben swallowed half the swimming pool by accident poor thing during one free swim (they have been doing "free swims" where they are learning to be self-propelled and without any floatation aids - underwater) and brought it back up when we got home: he was complaining of feeling sick and I put it down to him being hungry from hardly having any breakfast but after he brought the pool back up he told us what had happened. Then he had some lunch...

Charley was in an exceptionally good mood having had a lovely big sleep before his lesson, but as he didn't get to have much milk beforehand (it's easiest to feed him while he's half asleep these days because he's so easily distracted) he got hungry halfway through and then the submersions weren't so much fun anymore. Still, he did very very well. I can't believe after Easter he's going up to level 2. His class is so diverse - there's one girl over a year old, and then there's Charley who's just turned 4 months old!

Had a bit of fun before swimming pegging our paintings from Thursday out on the line. Such beautiful weather! And this afternoon I escaped the house as well to take a walk to the stationers in the sunshine. The problem with days like today is that we just forget to eat - everybody is so preoccupied that eating gets remembered far too late. So I am grateful for cheese sauce in the fridge! Ben ate LOTS and then bounced his way up to bed. The only way really to deal with a boingy boy (and remain sane) is to join in and boing away.....

Clocks spring forward tonight! Better go to bed then eh :)
