Vitoria

A bright and hot (by UK standards) day dawned and after having slept for 2 days (ok, so only most of 2 days) I finally surfaced, realised that I was in Brazil. Visiting my sister-in-law while she's there for 6m as part of her DPhil proved too much of lure.

This view from her roof terrace across the industrial town of Vitoria (an hour's flight north of Rio de Janeiro) is typical of what I saw in Brazil. Next time when I'm going I'll put more - best make that some - effort into learning a little Portugese.
