Day 84 - The Manchester Wheel
Today has been wonderful! A lazy morning at home in the garden, then I met my good friend Alison in the afternoon in Manchester. We had a good wander around with our cameras first - everything looked so good against the beautiful blue sky! The city centre was packed out with the weather being so warm, and also a lot of people were running the Sport Relieft mile. We stopped at Alchemist for a sneaky cocktail and then went to a cupcake decorating class we booked a few months ago at Hey Little Cupake. It was fantastic fun and I was so pleased with the cakes we iced!
After that we wandered over to the Northern Quarter for a drink and a meal. Great day!
This is the Manchester Wheel (I think that's what it's called anyway!) - It always looks great against the blue sky on a clear day and contrasts so well with the fantastic mix of old and modern buildings in the city centre now. I loved the almost symmetrical reflection in the Selfridges building. It's just a shame the monstrosity that is the Arndale Centre was in the background!
