Blossom

This is always such a beautiful sight at this time of year. Some streets and parks in Edinburgh have lines of trees bearing white and pink blossom which are really beautiful to behold. The Japanese hold blossom festivals which simply involve sitting under the trees, picnicking and enjoying the blossom.

The Blue Tits enjoy the blossom in a different way, picking them over for insects and showering them down to the ground as they go.
