Magnolia Bud
LARge might be worth a peek, I know I often say this but I was really taken with all the detail and tones in this tiny bud -( about 6 cm long )
Hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful, warm spring weather. We spent the morning working in the garden. I was weeding the flower beds and clearing the winter debris, the first opportunity we have had to work in the garden this year.
I spotted a lovely bright ladybird , unfortunately I am obviously not working on full cylinders as I hadn't brought out my camera. So off course work had to stop while I got out the camera set it on the tripod just in case something blipworthy caught my eye. ( Normally the camera is always sitting on a bench nearby when I am in the garden )
Had business in Lochgilphead in the afternoon and stopped off at Crarae gardens on the way back. Delighted to see the magnolias tree beginning to bud. Should be wonderful by the end of the week. The warm weather has also brought out bumble bees buzzing around the few azaleas which are flowering at the moment. I did blip a bee which wasn't too bad, John wanted me to blip it but I was fascinated by the range of textures on the bud as it opens so tonight it had to be the bud. Plenty bees later I hope.
