Foxy Shoes
I saw these fabulous foxy shoes in New Look today, looking remarkably like Lea Stein fox brooches.
Lea Stein is an artist and accessory maker based in Paris. She makes distinctive art deco style brooches from laminated celluloid.
Lea Stein's early period designs (1969 -1981) are now vey collectable as the factory then closed and some of the rarer designs command very high prices.
In 1991 the factory in Paris reopened, and the rest, as they say, is history. There is a greater range of designs and colour combinations.
My favourite design is the curl tailed fox, of which these shoes reminded me.
Shame the heels are quite so high - or I'd have snapped them up.
