Arriving in Welsh Wales!

bizarre coincidence...my blip title yesterday was a line from Culture Clubs song, Time, a song i've not heard for years....until 8.20 this morning on Chris Evans!! bizarre! anyway, had meeting in Birmingham today, long journey there, with rubbish traffic....30 mins to get from Ikea to M1! good meeting in Birmingham, but was longing to get outside to sample the summer temperatures! finished at 4pm and then drove down to Monmouth. am staying overnight here as it's Kevs funeral tomorrow. what a beautiful place he chose to live in. once i arrived, checked in, and then went a little drive - not far, cos was starving marvin! followed signs to Abergavenny, and came across a castle on a hill (as they usually are!), at a village called Raglan. Raglan Castle was built in the 1400's! wow, how old? and how it's stood the test of time! back to my travelodge, with some tea, and then a nice leisurely evening reading, watching a bit of tele, and generally chilling....don't do that often! tomorrow will be a sad day. I worked with Kev at Alfreton, and car shared with him. he was a cheeky chappy, always had a witty comment, and even right to the end, was a fighter. too young to be taken, but that seems the case all too often these days....
