'always look on the bright side of life.....'

what a blissful nights sleep in Monmouth! think it was the nice soft mattress, as opposed to my rock-hard mattress! still waking at 6am, i dozed til 8am, and then got ready. left for Monmouth at 9am, in search of a decent coffee and some breakfast. the cloudless sky already in place, and the warm morning sun a perfect setting for the day ahead. got into Monmouth early, and found the church. couldn't find anywhere for breakfast, so drove out towards Chepstow. breathtaking scenery, rolling hills, and a clear water river, with some great reflections (if only i could've stopped!) - remind me of Canada, winding roads, and woodland. couldn't find cash point, or cafe, so called my saviour mrs triv, who guided me to the waitrose in Monmouth! breakfast done. walked up the main road in monmouth, and saw the familiar face of Mrs Woolley outside the Punch Bowl pub (ironically, opposite Barclays!). loads of people there, Kev was going to get a great send off! the service was lovely, simple, but very moving. Kev was just 46 years old. service done, and then cremation where Kev's swan song was 'Always Look on the Bright Side of Life'...that made everyone smile. and it's true isn't it? you know, we are here for a good time, not a long time..... my blip today is of the Monmouth Footy Club, where Kev was coach to the juniors. His young son Harry, is there playing footy in the sun, just as Kev would've done...
