Only Fools...

...would have been playing pétanque at Cornwall Park in today's downpour, and I was one of five. Not content with our normal three-hour stint, we played an extra half hour to finish the last game of the series.

We're all going out to celebrate Stewart's birthday tonight. I'm getting a ride to the party, and Cynthia has kindly agreed to come and drive me home afterwards.

There's a distinct possibility of more foolishness, which I will of course attempt to record for posterity (and future embarrassment of the guilty parties).

We'll keep to the high ground as long as the rain continues.
