Big Bird!

This weekend we're in St Omer in Northern France, and I've taken lots of photos of the local Saturday market, beautiful cakes and lovely buildings.

But this region of France is famous for it's Giants, and each town has it's own. At this time of year there are Carnivals when the giants come out on Parade, and the biggest in this area is on Easter Monday in Cassel, which is a hill top town overlooking French Flanders - their giants are called Reuze-Papa and Reuze-Maman.

Anyway, today we went for a beer at the Brasserie Audomarois in St Omer, which is a micro brewery and they have their own Giant, so I felt that she should be my blip for today - the beers not bad either, so Cheers, hope you're all having a good weekend!
