Egg-strordinary!

A fun day out at Betty's Farm www.bettysfarm.co.uk a free range organic egg farm on the edge of our village - they also have farmers markets and a shop.

Today was a fundraiser and one of the highlights was a world record attempt by John Evans www.headbalancer.com (who was 65 today) to balance 1800 eggs on his head. He managed to break the world record just 90 short of his target at 1710 eggs - he just didn't want to drop and break that many eggs.

A real pity that the weather had turned chilly but there seemed to be a good turn out and the chickens, sheep and llamas were certainly well fed too. I have homemade lemon drizzle cake to make me happy.
