Progress report

We have pulling up, cruising and we also have MMMMMMoooom MMMMMMMMMMom.

Trying hard not to sound like one of those annoying my child is a genius mothers but he uses it when he sees me and when he wants me. It's always in context and his intention is clear.

Makes my heart melt.

Anyway it's hard being mother to a genius so I am going to bed soon. This is unheard of on a weekend but I have a busy day tomorrow.

Small rant.

We went to another christening today. It was in a catholic church which resides in a very deprived area of Brum. The young couple were charged £200 to have their daughter christened there. The service was atrocious. The priest did not even say hello or welcome to the large congregation. He stumbled and fluffed his way through the ceremony of which 90 per cent we could not hear.

He them left the church and changed into a jumper and then we realised that it was over. The couple were really disappointed.

Firstly I think the price they were charged is disgraceful. In these troubled times with a daughter who has a heart condition a young couple with little to rub together should be charged a nominal fee.

Secondly having bring charged £200 the Priest should at least act like he cares. They were married in the church. Surely their continued involvement in the church should be celebrated.

Makes ne quite angry but it was a nice afternoon all the same.
