The Pod

We met this morning in Turners in Barrowford for our irregular pod meet.

We are a group of former Creative Partnerships Creative Agents who meet to catch up, to share learning and to continue to reflect together beyond the life of Creative Partnerships and beyond our contracts with Curious Minds. Our group includes artists, drama specialists, life coach, educationalists, dancer/scientist, facilitators, project managers - in many ways and to many people we are many different things.

It was great to see everyone and to catch up, but there was a definite difference to the mood of previous meetings. The cutbacks are hitting, people are losing jobs, contracts and funding and none of us has any real security (those who are freelance and otherwise), but it was still great to be with people who are going through similar experiences and also to be with people who are still working and fighting hard to make a difference and to be creative in the face of massive change.

They really are a good bunch of people and we keep learning from each other and providing support and somehow our meetings feel like an opportunity to press the 'reset' button to get ready to get on with whatever comes next.
