Evolution

This is the first business premises I ever occupied as a tenant. It was a tiny corner of a defunct tractor factory which had emerged from the Industrial revolution only to suffer from foreign competition. At one time 3600 people worked in the surrounding buidings.
I started my business here with two people before luckily moving to better surroundings. Since then the factory has been sensitively converted to a rather good shopping centre with an M and S food , a Next and other big names like Greggs.
It's really satisfying to be able to still go through the doors , 30 years later and to breathe the atmosphere and I'm glad it wasn't bulldozed .
I think it deserves a blip, please excuse my indulgence .
