That's it...
This is all I have today. One measly photo. It chucked it down over lunchtime, even my beautiful view from the ivory tower was rubbish. I spent most of yesterday with a headache from hell. Today hasn't been much better. I have waves of nausea that don't seem to come to anything but I appear to have spent much of the day with a frown while popping pills to combat the sore head.
So as I went to collect my car from the garage after work, I took a photo of the rail bridge that is on a little lane which comes out at Meadowbank and has to be the most populated street of dog poo I've ever seen. Clearly the same dog, many different bowel movements but all the same shade of poo. I don't live there but if I did, I'd be waiting there all day long to catch the manky bastard who doesn't pick up after their pooch. Of that I have no doubt. I'm actually so outraged by it I'm tempted to go hang out there and catch them anyway. Dirty dirty dirty! There is absolutely no need. None whatsoever.
So after that made me quite cross, I was looking forward to collecting my car, all fixed and MOT'd and taxed and insured and having cost me the best part of 800 quid I expected it to run like a dream! Drove home and thought it was looking pretty good, I only live five minutes from the garage though so it wasn't until I got onto the bypass that I thought there's some funny noise when I accelerate. The turbo has always made a bit of a whistling noise but this was a proper swish... you know the sound the boy racers cars make when they change gear? But not quite as cool with the belch of blue/black smoke out the back as I attempted to get to 70mph on the bypass... I took the next slip road and proceeded to drive at 20mph all the way to my folks.
It shouldn't make that noise. Disappointing. Especially with a 400 mile journey planned for Friday. I've checked my AA membership is up to date and ready for use should I need it. Touch wood I don't.
Tomorrow morning at 8am I shall be back at the garage asking them to fix whatever it is they've broken cause it wasn't making that noise when I dropped it off there this morning and asking them to replace the excess fuel that I appear to have used doing 77 miles from a full tank to three quarters full.
Now I'm going to bed so I can get up in good time.
*sigh*
