The Granite Bowl

On Friday we met up with Catherine who took us to the Museum Island and our first port of call was the Alte Nationalgalerie.

Here is a blip of Johann Erdmann Hummel's painting of Die Granitschale im Berliner Lustgarten (the granite bowl in the Lustgarten). I really like the way the painter has added the reflections of the people around the bowl. It was painted in 1831.
