Oh-Chill Hills
Poor Euan. Not sure if he's got the feeling back in his ears yet. The best of it was, as I pulled up at the side of the road near here he said "You're not going to take a picture of that bench again are you?" I'm getting so predictable.
Today's weather was phenomenal. Colder than any day I remember through the winter with the biting wind cutting through layers of clothes. Weirder than anything I remember, with snow falling on newly flowered plants and budding trees, followed by hail and finished off with one of the orangiest sunsets ever as a blizzard continued. Half an hour later and the streets are dry, the clouds have cleared and the moon and stars and planets are out. As someone posted elsewhere it was like someone hit shuffle on the weather machine.*
Popped into work for a bit today, mostly to return 11 overdue library books, but also to use the wi-fi for some big downloads. It's a strange place when most people are on holiday, but the lack of network usage make the downloads zip along (off to watch the new Tintin movie in a bit thanks to that).
I also popped by the old campus as I'd been told the demolition people were moving in, and sure enough the fences are up and the workmen's huts are on site. It's going to be strange seeing the old building disappear over the next few weeks, but, by the time we're back at work after the Easter break, we'll have two shiny new buildings to make up for it.
Ok, off for some adventures with Tintin now.
(Cheers Stewart!)
