Picnic No.1
I overheard (difficult not to overhear some of them sometimes) a couple of Americans speaking as they walked passed the Great Hall in Stirling Castle this afternoon. They must've been climatologist or something as they were debating, based on the recent weather, whether global warming had made it to Scotland yet.
I'm no expert, but that was actually not feeling too bad at all. Ok, you had to be in the direct sunshine, sheltered from the wind, wrapped in numerous layers of clothing and, preferably, holding a Wizard's Butterbeer tankard filled with piping hot home-made vegetable soup. Sitting on a bench in a cemetery like this is pretty much down to personal preference though.
That's the first picnic of the season - whatever season it may be - well and truly scoffed.
Looking at the blip from this day last year we're actually better off weather-wise than we were then.
