Problem solved

For ages now we've been unable to use our trailer because 700 new wine bottles on a pallet have been sitting in it. The whole lot has been stored in our pal's barn since last August. The problem has been how to get the pallet and bottles off onto the ground in one piece and at our house.

This morning eight volunteers plus Ali and I put our heads together and came up with a solution. All went brilliantly and we now have our trailer back. It has already carried the new sprayer, water containers and a rotovator up to the vineyard, taken the wine press back to the domaine with whom we share it, taken six pallets to the vineyard and another six to the house and a heap of rubbish to the tip.

To say we are delighted to have it back would be an understatement. Now we are ready to bottle the rest of our 2010 wine when we next have a moment.
