The Beresford

This building is just round the corner from my office and it's a definite local landmark.

It started out as a hotel between the wars, and later was an office block. Then for 40 years it was a Halls of Residence for Strathclyde University. Mr HPW lived there and it sounds like he made his fellow residents' lives a bit of a misery. Possibly.

More recently it's been converted into flats and jazzed back up to the Jazz Age. Although looks like they could touch up the paintwork again.
