Snake in the wood pile.

Long journey - took 12 hours. When we arrived my bother went down to the cellar to turn on water and called me down, saying 'take your camera'. There was this snake hibernating in the wood pile. They have wood burning stoves as the village is in a forestry area. They have had snakes before but Rob though he had blocked up all entrances.

It is a Western Whipsnake or in French Couleuvre vert et jaune. It is dark in the cellar so had to use flash.
