Lizard with no tail

Glorious sunny day. In garden saw blue tits, great tits, black cap, blackbird which is nesting in their bay trees, orange tip butterflies, swallowtail butterfly, hummingbird hawkmoth, carpenter bees. After morning and then lunch in garden cycled to Piegut to supermarket. My brother and his wife now have electric bikes so push bike is somewhat neglected. Saddle kept going down and had difficulty fixing it as later discovered the Quick release was on the wrong way round so it interfered with rack.

On the way there and back saw this bird of prey first in tree, and on way back on a post watching me. Later was told it was a short toed eagle.

Saw this lizard in the garden when I got back, it has lost its tail. Meant to crop it but didn't have time. Viewed large might show it better.
