Intense 4

Younger lad and I took advantage of the morning's sun to cycle along to the Botanics. Bought a birthday present for my mother then walked round a little before going for a coffee on the terrace. We didn't realize at first why it felt quite so open, presuming it was just the winter-spring look. But then noticed the netting round the gap where once there'd been a solid old specimen.

The air was chill, but the sun was very bright and the sky very blue.
