Shopping
Back blipage again.
We had a FABULOUS day shopping daughter and I. Lots of fun to be had in Inverness...almost worth the 2 hour drive there and back. Didnt get the boots I was after, but got a brilliant little Union Flag Red Herring bag amongst other things.
Here we are on the road back...just about to leave the Black Isle...only about 90 miles to go.
edit: just did a tot up of how much it actually costs to go to Inverness for a spot of shopping....petrol £147.9 a litre (so thats £7-40 a gallon)...our old car does about 30 miles to the gallon...Inverness is 120 miles away so a round trip of shopping...drum roll and smelling salts please.....just about £60. Thats a pair of boots, a slap up meal, an outfit or enough chocolate and wine to keep me happy for a few weeks. Bit dear isnt it...but the shops in Caithness are crap and I hate internet shopping. No wonder I only do this a couple of times a year!
