Book Week (6)

Soon after White Rabbit Books opened a couple of years ago, Jools and I went looking for bargains. "Hey, look", she said, indicating a pile of dog books on a shelf, "I used to have all of these!" She opened one and found her name inscribed . . then we noticed more and more of our old books. Curious, we thought, and chatted to the owner, who told us he'd got them from Wastewise (Book Week 4), to whom we'd donated 500 books a couple of months earlier when we moved to a smaller house. We revisited the store recently and they'd all gone, which is a good thing, as we'd have probably have bought them and taken them home . . .
