Solanum Crispum
I know I have blipped this plant before about a year ago but no apologies, here it comes again. Known as the Peruvian or Chilean Potato Plant, we planted this in the hope that it might disguise our central heating oil tank. Not only is it serving its purpose but it has now reached 3 metres (9 feet) in height and we have just read in our big book of plants that it is only half way to full maturity. I think it is going to have to be kept under careful control or we may not be able to find the tank at some stage in the future. Despite its great altitude it bears the tiniest of flowers, no bigger than a shirt button with gorgeous yellow centres.
Hope you all have a great Easter weekend!
