Eastereggstravaganza at Traquair House
We had heard good things about the Easter celebrations at Traquair House, so we headed off there today with our boys. We were not disappointed. Lots to do for the kids, in beautiful surroundings and it only rained on us once!
Traquair House is Scotland's oldest inhabited house. Dating back to 1107, Traquair was originally a hunting lodge for the kings and queens of Scotland. Later a refuge for Catholic priests in times of terror the Stuarts of Traquair supported Mary Queen of Scots and the Jacobite cause without counting the cost.
Hope everyone had a great Easter weekend!
