Week-End Of Excess
A Polish wedding yesterday, by the time the ceremony had finished we were in the restaurant ready at 11:30. The signs were ominous, as well as the normal wine glass and champagne flute we also had a 'shot' glass and a tumbler. The shot glass was for the ubiquitous chilled vodka, the tumbler for the juice or mixer chaser. It turned into a long day including the requirement to make a speech. I used the Navajo Blessing, if you have not come across it before I suggest you 'Google' it. Following more photo's in Queen Mary's Gardens and wine in the Gully Beach Cafe Clare and I made our way home. It seemed strange to be home and hungover by 7:30pm on a Saturday night.
Today was a different day, following a three and a half hour stint in work, shower and change we had a stroll down town. We had been invited by our good friends to a family celebration. Mr Roly is 40 tomorrow and our family consider ourselves very fortunate to have been invited to share his birthday celebrations with his family.
I had intended to use a picture of Mr Roly's very gorgeous birthday cake but instead used a picture of my equally lovely ladies we had a great time and after a very lovely lunch washed down with a glass or three of vino we had coffee and cake to complete the meal.
I'm not entirely certain but I don't believe that the Weight Watchers weigh in is going to go well tomorrow!!!
